Mpumalanga Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environment Affairs invites unemployed graduates to apply for Internship Programme 2023 / 2024.
Internship Application Closing Date: 15 June 2023
Internship Location: Mpumalanga
The programme will run for a period of 24 months and participants will be paid a stipend of R87 000.00 per annum in the first year.
REQUIREMENT:
- Only RSA Citizen residing in Mpumalanga will be considered.
- Unemployed Graduates with recognised Agricultural qualification(s).
- Strictly one (01) application per person.
- Applicants must be entering the programme for the first time.
- Preference will be given to unemployed graduates from Agricultural Colleges from the same Municipality.
- Youth (18-35 years), Women and people with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
- Readiness to work anywhere in the Province as you may be deployed by the Department.

Certified copies of Identity Document, Senior Certificate and the highest required qualifications as well as a driver’s license, where necessary, will only be requested from shortlisted candidates on or before the day of the interview.
Failure to do so will result in your application being disqualify. Foreign qualifications must be accompanied by an evaluation report issued by SAQA.
It is the applicant’s responsibility to have all foreign qualifications evaluated by SAQA and to provide proof of such evaluation. Applicants should ensure that they submit their applications on or before the closing date as no late applications will be considered.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to be available for interviews at a date and time as determined by the Department.
All shortlisted candidates will be subjected to personnel suitability or background checks. DARDLEA will conduct reference checks which may include social media profiles of the shortlisted candidates.
Applicants must declare any pending criminal, disciplinary or any other allegations or investigations against them.
Should this be uncovered during / after the interview took place, the application will not be considered and in the unlikely event that the person has been appointed such appointment will be terminated. The successful candidate will be appointed subject to positive results of the security clearance process.
The successful candidate will be required to enter into an employment contract and sign a performance agreement with the Department. Applicants are encouraged to apply in their respective District.
