So How Are Matric Results Calculated?
All your class work, assignments, tests and exams you do throughout the year before the final exams counts for 25% of your final mark. The external final exam at the end of the year counts for 75%, except for Life Orientation which is 100% internal assessment.
What’s the Matric Results Pass Rate?
It is compulsory to pass your home language with a minimum of 40% and 2 other subjects with 40%. You can fail one subject under the condition that you get 30% or more for the other 6 subjects making a total of 6 passes. You get 4 different passes and they are as follows:
- National Senior Certificate – Minimum requirements achieved
- Higher Certificate pass – Both Languages Passed, 40% in 2 other subjects and 30% for another 3 subjects
- Diploma pass – 40% minimum for 4 subjects and the remaining 3 have to have a minimum of 30%.
- Bachelor pass – A minimum of 50% for 4 subjects and 30% minimum for the other 3 subjects
What Is The Matric Results Release Date?
The marks of the 2022 National Senior Certificate exam were completely captured on 27 December 2022. - Step 1: Visit the website of the Department of Education matric results page.
- Step 2: Enter your examination number.
- Step 3: More personal details may be required.
- Step 4: Press search.
- Step 5: Your matric results will now come up.
