What is a Learnership?
A learnership can be described as a training programme that consists of both theory and practical elements. It offers a way for you to gain work experience, as well as an NQF registered qualification. All learnerships are managed by Sector Education Training Authorities (SETAs).
IPID Learnerships 2022
The mission of the IPID IPID, as the independent national human rights institution, is to support constitutional democracy through promoting, protecting and monitoring the attainment of everyone’s human rights in South Africa without fear, favour or prejudice.
The mandate of the Commission is to promote respect for human rights and a culture of human rights; promote the protection, development and attainment of human rights; monitor and assess the observance of human rights; investigate and report on the observance of human rights; take steps and secure appropriate redress where human rights have been violated; carry out research; educate; require relevant organs of state to provide the Commission with information on the measures that they have taken towards the realisation of the rights in the Bill of Rights concerning housing, health care, food, water, social security, education and the environment; and carry out the additional powers and functions prescribed by national legislation.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants for the IPID recruitment exercise. INTERESTED AND SUITABLY QUALIFIED members of the public can apply for any of the positions available at the South Africa IPID.

Eligibility & Requirements
To qualify for the internship, you need to possess all the required qualifications and meet all requirements before applying for the IPID IPID Learnerships 2022.
Entry requirements can be accessed from the official IPID Learnerships Portal according to the position.
In general, the applicant must meet some basic requirements like:
- Applicants must be a citizen of South Africa or have valid work and possess an Identity Card.
- You must not have partaken in any other learnership prior to this application
- A valid Grade 12 / Martic certification
- Must be between 18 and 35 years of age
- Must hold a diploma or degree in the relevant field (where applicable)
- Proof of residence
Candidates must submit a curriculum vitae with up-to-date contact details and all relevant information. Candidates must also submit a motivational letter and provide references.
