A learnership can be described as a training programme that consists of both theory and practical elements. It offers a way for you to gain work experience, as well as an NQF registered qualification. All learnerships are managed by Sector Education Training Authorities (SETAs).
The North-West Department of Community Safety is offering an exciting opportunity for South African unemployed youth to apply for their 2024/2025 Learnership Programme.
Learnership Location: North West, South Africa
Learnership Application Closing Date: 11 October 2024
- Duration: 3 years
- Stipend: R3,000 per month
This learnership program is designed to empower unemployed youth aged between 18 and 35 residing strictly within the North West Province.
Requirements:
- Unemployed youth aged 18-35
- Grade 12 Certificate or Vocational National Certificate Level 4 (Statement of results not accepted)
- RSA Identity Document
- Police Criminal Clearance Report (issued within 3 weeks) from South African Police Services
- Medical report confirming fitness for strenuous exercise/training (from a registered health professional with an official stamp)
- Valid driver’s license (code 8, 10, or 14) – Learner’s license not accepted
- No tattoos
- Proof of residence (from Municipality or Traditional Council) – No statements of account accepted
Important Notes:
- Applicants who have previously participated in a Public Service learnership will not be considered.
- Applicants must be under 36 years of age at the time of enrollment.
- Applications with post-matric qualifications, including short courses/skills development programs, will not be accepted.
