The South African Social Security Agency has told R350 grant recipients who applied for reconsideration to note that they are currently experiencing delays in processing appeal applications and has asked them to be patient while they address the issue.
Clients who applied for reconsideration are advised of the delay in addressing the reconsideration requests. SASSA is currently working to resolve this. Sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Sassa initially introduced the Social Relief of Distress grant to assist South Africans who were the worst affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The grant is aimed at helping those who have no other source of income.
