Those with outstanding library materials will also not be able to register even if they have paid their initial registration fee.
In order to facilitate registration, students are required to make all initial payments at least five days prior to registration to allow for processing time.
Bursary holders are required to email a confirmation letter from their sponsor/bursar at least five days before registration. These letters may be emailed to externalbursaries@up.ac.za.
If the letter is not sent then students will need to pay the initial fee themselves.
Students funded by NSFAS do not need to pay the initial registration fee or submit a confirmation letter. As soon as students are approved for funding by the authorities, the financial hold will be lifted and they will be given the go-ahead to register.
Non-South African citizens have been requested to email the university proof of their medical aid and study permit before registration. The documents may be emailed to isd@up.ac.za.
