The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has been taking and processing student applications since 2 November 2022. They have so far received more than 600 000 applications.
If you are among those that have submitted their applications and find that whenever you track your application it says ‘Validation’ it means that NSFAS is conducting third party checks with SASSA and the Department of Home Affairs.

How to track your myNSFAS application status:
- Log in to the NSFAS account on the myNSFAS student portal here
- Enter your username and password and sign in
- Click on Track Funding Progress
